We develop updates and upgrades for CritiCall to keep it current with emerging technologies and to give you, our valued CritiCall user, the best personnel selection software available.
Updates are fixes or patches that address issues related to specific versions of CritiCall. Updates are typically made available online via this web page for download. See below for the updates that are currently available.
Upgrades are major version changes that contain significant revisions and/or additions to the software (such as new tests, new or enhanced features, and so on). Upgrades are typically available through the password-protected CritiCall User’s Group web pages, unless the file is too large to download. If the upgrade is too large to download online, a CD-ROM containing the upgrade is sent to each user.
In order to continue providing reliable, high-quality products and services, we typically retire older versions of CritiCall when upgraded versions become available. Retiring older versions allows us to focus our resources on enhancing CritiCall and providing the best possible support. The most recent version of the CritiCall program is 5.0. Only limited technical support is available for earlier versions of CritiCall.

Update to CritiCall 5.0 [Admin Program Export Update; February 15, 2011]
Several CritiCall clients reported an issue when trying to identify those job candidates who passed all of the “stand alone” test modules in the Graphical Score Report. This update will insure that all of those candidates who have passed (scored at or above the score set as a cutoff score) all of the “stand alone” test modules that are listed when the “Include those who pass all cutoffs” option is chosen in the Graphical Score Report feature.

This update works with the single-user or multi-user versions of CritiCall 5.0 only. Previous editions of CritiCall must be upgraded to Version 5.0 before this update can be installed.
We strongly recommend that all CritiCall users download and install this update. However, this update affects only those who use the “Graphical Score Report” function in CritiCall.
Finally, for agencies that have a list of current candidates that were created using the Graphical Score Report we recommend that they re-run the Graphical Score Report feature once this update is installed on their system to make certain all of those who “pass” all of the “stand-alone” test modules are included on the list. (“Stand alone” test modules are those with sufficient reliability to be used alone for selection purposes).

Update to CritiCall 4.6 [Admin Program Export Update; April 17, 2009]
This update works with the single-user or multi-user versions of CritiCall 4.6 only. We recommend that all CritiCall users download and install this update.
It was determined that the composite result of one of the tests that measures multiple domains was not being exported appropriately when the ‘Export Candidate Data’ function is used. This issue is addressed by this update. This update affects only those who use the ‘Export Candidate Data’ function in CritiCall.

Update to CritiCall 4.0 [Spelling Test Update; June 9, 2008]
This update works with the single-user or multi-user versions of CritiCall 4.0, 4.0.1, 4.0.2 and 4.0.3. We recommend that any CritiCall user experiencing issues pertaining to the Spelling Test download and install this update.
Several CritiCall clients reported intermittent failures when the Spelling Test or other tests utilizing sound files were used. While we could never replicate the issue internally (we created a utility that loaded the test repeatedly for ten million attempts without failure), we rewrote the way in which the sound files were loaded, played and advanced, and have incorporated this new functionality into this update.

Update to CritiCall 4.0 [version 4.0.3; March 27, 2007]
This update works with the single-user or multi-user versions of CritiCall 4.0, 4.0.1, and 4.0.2. We recommend that all users of the 4.0, 4.0.1, and 4.0.2 versions of CritiCall download this update.
• 4.0.3 update fixes the key for the 7th popup in DE MT – Audio version 1.
• 4.0.3 updates the instructions for the Keyboarding and custom Keyboarding Tests.
• 4.0.3 includes previous 4.0 and higher updates below.
A software interlock now prevents Subject Matter Experts from moving from one Validation Wizard survey screen to another until all of the survey items on that screen have been answered.
Users will now have the option to print “Pass/Fail” cutoff score versions of the Candidate Score Report from the Candidate Score Report dialogue box only when the “Best scores from all test administrations” option is not checked. This was done since attempts to print “Pass/Fail” reports when the “Best scores from all test administrations” option was checked would have produced reports without any cutoff scores or pass/fail recommendations.
If the cutoff score for the Keyboarding test module in the “AutoTest Link” dialogue box was set higher than zero in the original 3.6 and 4.0 versions of CritiCall, the test taker was not allowed to advance to the next AutoTest Code when multiple-hurdle AutoTest Codes were linked. This update fixes that limitation.
